The traditional amber-colored Kvevri (pitch) wine aged on skin is probably the most remarkable achievement of the Georgian wine culture. This is especially true for Rkatsiteli, the number one variety in Georgia in terms of distribution and popularity. Made from Rkatsiteli grapes harvested in the Tsarapi’s of Kardnakhi, this wine is a classic of this style. Golden/amber in hue, it brings forward bouquets of dried persimmons and white cherry preserve, along with other sugary aromas. This full-bodied, soft, structured wine offers a good intermingling of acidity and velvety tannins, and has a long finish.This exceptional wine was awarded a bronze medal at IWSC 2023.
